1998 Spark Plug?

hi,

my car is having a hard time starting in the cold and i think its the spark plugs since i havent replaced them in over 100,000 miles. i've already replace the starter and alternator.

will NGK BKR5EGP 7090 G-Power Platinum Spark Plugs fit 1998 Maxima SE?

thanks.

Yes I believe those fit a 92-01. Get the brand you want but I personally have seen WAAAAAY to many NGK spark plugs fail to support them. I would get a Denso or Bosch. One horror story is I bought a case one time and out of the 100? 20 failed. Bad batch? Probably but Bosch has never failed on me. Just my humble opinion

G-Power:
Part: BKR5EGP 7090

Go with Laser Platinum
Part: PFR5G-11*# 2647

Different strokes I suppose. My mechanic that has worked on import cars for his entire life(and his dad before him) does not use them AT ALL. I have always used Bosch. NGK's came stock on the maxima but then again mine went out prematurely and I have been using Bosch since then. Bosch was first in a lot of basic automotive standards now. Look up the "Magneto" they invented this which gave the spark to the first internal combustion engines.

Lol prepare to get bashed. We've seen countless instances of Bosch plugs causing misfiring in maximas. The vq was built to run on ngk. They are OEM. Bosch makes a good plug, but not for the VQ.

yeah the only thing i can see as a problem was on my quad they would foul if you didn't stay on it. i guess thats just how 2 strokes are. but yeah i would stick with OEM.

Until I see definitive proof of why a Bosch wouldnt work right on a VQ30DE Ill continue to run them. Im not a know it all or anything, just from experience MY vq doesnt seem to like NGK's. I think they recommend the dbl platinum for the VQ
