97 SEvs.92 'Vette

there is this guy in town who thinks he is the **** just because he drives a corvette. This corvette is a just a normal, convertible Corvette, nothing special. What would it take for my 97 SE to burn him? i just bought my max and it is all stock-do you think that NOS would get me close or would it take severe mods to do it? I don't know the kinda numbers that car can run, but i want so bad to smoke his ***-if not from light to light, but to out corner him or something. Am i dreaming?

So sorry for flaming....

You got a 5spd? That Vette is not much...I think 250hp at the most or something like that. It doesn't have the LT1 setup, so it's not going to make any power....they're alot of talk- I know, I love Vettes. I got a 5spd with intake, y, and custom cat-back and will scare the daylights out of late 90's Cobras and Trans Am's because they will not lose me in a drag race. I might not beat them.....well....anything goes, right? Race him one day and see. But if I were you, i'd make it breathe better to totally smoke him.

The 92 vette has the 300 hp LT1 engine, 0-60 times for the coupe of about 5.3 secs, probably 5.6 for the convertible. You will need to be BOOSTED to beat him.

If the vette is a automagic and you are 5spd with bolt-ons, it will be CLOSE.

LOL his car at best is in the 14.5-15.0/93-95mph range going against a Vette that does run around 13.7-14.2/98-102mph. Off the line he gets smoked, in a roll he gets pulled. He needs at least a 50-65 shot of n2o on top of bolt ons.

So with my full exhaust and 75 shot of NOS I should be able to take a 92 auto...hmmm...

Thanks for the advice-i think this vette is a manual trans., but i dfon't know how well this guy can drive-never seen him race. On the NOS, what size shot do i need or can i use without major moddage? Will my factory exhaust handle it? I currently have no mods at this time-i have only had the car about 3 days. where do i get the best CAI, High flow cat? I also need to knwo all the info i can on NOS.
Sorry for all the questions but i am new to the world of maxima.

Look, my friend from work has a 91 'vette Auto and he ran a 14.1 stock. He smokes me off the line, on a roll and down the line. Once he was on my *** from 80-131 and he could have passed me at any time. You need boost to win.
