Car Shakes During Acceleration but not in Neutral

Hey out of nowhere today my car started shaking whenever im in acceleration on my 5 speed ....If im in gear and not accelerating it does not shake, but when i hit the gas it starts to shake.....but it doesn't do it in neutral either though. Any ideas? Also when I shift into a gear its like i shifted too early/low idle and slow to pick up speed... Any ideas? Im hoping its something simple like a plug or wire :-( I know my economy will be horrible but am I good to drive at least?(Of course there will be performance symptoms).

Drove some more today and i think ive narrow it down.....Update is in my reply...

Where in the ATL do you live? Anyways, your shaking as you described it seems to be from worn motor mounts. They go bad after awhile. The accel issue could be hundreds of things. Start with the basics. Clean your throttle body, IACV and EGR tube. Check your hoses especially vacuum lines. Put some injector cleaner in there and change the spark plugs. Basically do a tune up and see if its still an issue

does the shaking transmit itself through your shifter as well when you accelerate? does it feel like a rotational knocking? you've pretty much described my car, which needs motor mounts and a new axle. whenever your inner cv joint gets worn, you'll feel vibration under acceleration.

same here that rotational knocking and i checked all the mounts and axles they are good and it is just when u take off in first and on nutral it does nothing checked plugs cleaned all the vales and checked for leaks it feel like the the whole engine is going to come loose once u hit second all is well and all is smooth it is just that first gear

Okay so ive narrowed it down to a couple of things.......So my car has been idling really high lately...so high that going into neutral slows my car down to help me break.... O___O....thats an issue ive had for a while....im guessing i need to clean IAC/EGR....but i think my current issue has to do with the idling affecting my shifting....or my tranny or clutch is slipping.....New question is could the idling affect shifting? How do i know if my clutch is slipping or if my tranny if going?

Transmission Noise?

BTW How does a transmission noise round? If its messing up it like a roaring sound from the engine bay if the tranny is messing up?
