H3ll halogens would do some justice. You all will never learn that HIDs don't do well in reflective housings.
HIDs in halogen housings scatter light everywhere and blind on coming drivers
Except honestly most ricers get the highest kelvin rating possible and it makes it dangerous to drive at night and especially at night in the rain. I dont care for the look of HID's. Everyone has them now. Now with Sylvanias ZXE lights, the halogen bulb is almost as good vision wise down road and has an appeasing light color. I like the stock lights and with the 9007 conversion the output is plenty enough. I might upgrade to a 1pc headlight but ill always stick with halogens.
HID's look great and light up the road ok and halogens look ok and light up the road great. Ill choose the latter

Any halogen bulbs in any 4th gen housings will never look anything like that lolOriginally Posted by ShocknAwe

If you want something a little better, sure, but you're still using 9004 reflectors. That's part of the problem that limits output.Originally Posted by ShocknAwe
then swap the wires and go 9007?
The reflectors do suck but the aftermarket 1pc I want arent any better, honestly probably worse pattern. A cheapness nissan had to do in the 4th gen to keep those prices down *sigh*

The R34's are worse. Worse beam pattern and output. Don't bother with those if you're not going to do a retro.Originally Posted by ShocknAwe

Im just gonna get the generic 1pc. I just dont like the space in between the cornering lights and the headlights. Its never flush. Bad design

be prepared to not be able to see anything due to the worlds worst output. R34 stlye headlights BLOW, ask me how I know

No. You're talking about the one piece Cefiro's which also such but we're talking about R34's for the Maximas here. Originally Posted by GGENIUS

Its true what Chris said, I can't see anything but it doesn't really affect me since I live in the city.

Either way, the lenses on both suck.
The 95-96's are flutted and the 97-99's turn yellow and cloudy.

invest in Bi-Xenon and Aim your headlight back up...Here's my 86.5 D21 Hardbody with 6000k Bi-Xenon (glare sheilded bulbs) in Hella halogen housingsOriginally Posted by Metallica

I would say projection lense are #1 but using a bi-xexon buld in a halogen halogen has no light scatter.....only aimed down til you hit the hi-beams then you'll burn out those retinas of any one willing to stare at the light!Originally Posted by Flava_24/7

Look at all of that glare.
I like the stock lights. I've taken good car of them and they are still crystal clear. I will never buy a headlight that isn't glass. They just don't look right after a yr or so. Scratched up and cloudy already. I think Ill just go with these and maybe just adding some new weather stripping to my corners to close that ugly black gap. The 1pc im sure will gap on the top if not the bottom as well, they cant fit well for so cheap you know? Either way I guess headlights are a personal thing and there is no right or wrong persay....except for the pink HID's lol. 32k I believe.

That looks exactly the way I thought it would. Good fit and nice custom look without screaming for attention. Under stated mods are the way to go

I think you should try buying from ebay. I have made many cosmetic car purchases and they are very good quality if you do your research. Like bumper grilles, headlights and such. Good luck.

Here's a thought. Buy the Glass headlights. Remove the lenses from your stock lights and put the glass lenses on the stock headlight. Then you get glass lenses with an OEM reflector.
Although the best option: projectors retro with glass lenses + HID's. Don't get HID's with the retarded 30000k output. Stick between 5000-6000K and you get the most visible light on the road. With projectors you'll see much much more without blinding everyone. I just recently finished my retro and it's literally night/day difference over my stock housing with xenon halogen.

These were taken while it was raining. when I had the projectors+HID's I couldn't even see the road when it was wet at night time.

It has the grill back on it now. Still needs some adjusting though. Hood is still dipped (no money for real paint. Originally Posted by 2brosgixxer

). No, I never caught them. Probably never will. What comes around goes around though.
