ECU resources

P.S: The "check engine soon" light came on for any number of reasons, from minor to serious. If you care for your car, your goal should be to find out what caused it to come on, in addition to resetting the light. Use the "decoder page" for that.

Yeah follow the instructions, but don't reset the light before pulling the code. The light comes on for a reason, so you might as well find out what the possible problem is.

You don't want to be driving around with engine misfire or something else which will wreck the catalytic converter. A bad O2 sensor over time will cause the ECU to function in open loop mode at all times, and the fuel mixture may be rich enough to foul the cat if you don't fix the problem.
