Anyone set up rear defrost on their Viper Alarm?

The alarm has a feature to turn on defrost, i was wondering if anyone put a relay to the defrost button wire and wired that option?

Be careful with that defroster option, if it is not on a timer and stays on you may burn out the defroster unit. Thats what I was told but check it for yourself.

If the screen is not cracked you may be able to warranty it @ a dealer.

It shouldnt burn out the defrost, im 99%in surw that wire is only triggered while remote start is active once you take over w the key it shuts off.

you can set it to activate for only 10 minutes iirc you can adjust the time on this, or it just pulses the wire just as if you pressed the button on the dash, it turns off on its own

I have mine hooked up to both my rear defrost and my heated steering wheel and at least in my car the rear defrost does come off once you enter the car and put the key in the timer will turn it off.

but do you have to press the button again if the window is still defrosting say in the snow, defeating the purpose, or is it not too bad? i can imagine that pissing me off a lot
