Your guys' front license plate opinion please

Just installed a front license plate bracket. I really enjoy the way it looks but am now stuck trying to decide which plate option to go with. Don't want to double up on the Nissan logo but then again maybe I do. I couldn't find much pictures on the org to reference of members using anything but a required plate up front.. A front plate is not required in the state of TN

Looks like my front end when I first bought my car lol

Don't put a front plate unless you have to.

I agree with chrisman287, leave it off unless you have to.

And what is up with the spot light?

agreed.

I HATE front plates. If you have the option of running without, then don't even bother with a cover. Go commando up front if you can

Unfortuneately, I need a front license plate in NY. My plate is all bent to the shape of the bumper due to some close calls. LOL. The sig pic is when I first got the car (not in NY.)

I agree and will raise you 1,000,000 x 10^1,000,000

If TN doesn't require a front plate, as eluded by another poster, I'd leave it off.

Here in **** CA, front plates are mandatory.

ah the police light bashers, classic. Only 4th gen in America with one. installed it myself. It was a high school phase but I'm still proud of it. Its a great 3rd headlight while alone on a dark road

Since you've already installed the holder, I'm not really sure which one I'd choose. When I got my 95, it already had one, so I went and got a plate. Originally, I got one of the American flag/bald eagle plates, since I love my country and was in the TN Nat'l Guard. Then I found an A32 plate on eBay and went with that. Here are some pics for you.

man I'm kinda happy to see some more DPO deep forest green ones on the Org. I see a bunch of Lakeshore Blue and white and stuff. I know its a common color but I love correcting people when they say, I thought your car was black? Its not black, its Green baby!

edit: Texas has that BS law requiring a front plate too. No cowl lights either, yet Motorcycles can have all kinds of LEDs and only need a rear plate. WTH?

I don't care for front plates unless it is mandatory personally. It takes away from the aesthetics of any car in my opinion.

WA requires a front plate.... hate it... but because I have a stock bumper on the car now and it doesn't have a bracket for the plate, it is legal to run it in the windshield... i have it on the passenger visor held up with my cd case

Nice to see someone from Connecticut sorry

Back on topic; I like the one that says Maxima it looks sick but in most cases it's better without front plates because then you get dirty under the plate.

I tried that argument with a cop each of the last 4 times I've gotten pulled over they were like "it's illegal to have your plate in the windshield, sir"...they didn't cite me for it, but they all told me teh same thing.

Can you cite the RCW which makes it allowable?

In Utah it's required by law to have a front license plate. I've never had a front license plate on any of my vehicles since I was able to drive. I've never been pulled over for it, and I've never been cited for it. My friend on the other hand, has been pulled over, and has been cited for it.

Maybe I'm just lucky... *knocks on wood*

If you can get away without installing the front plate, that's the way to go.

That's pretty sick! ^^

If Florida required a front plate, I'd definitely be interested in setting something like that up

Lol you added the front plate bracket? I just threw mine out due to how ugly it looked, and i'm from NY. For now the plate is zip tied, cause its required, but I plan to put a hideaway bracket soon.

For 12 years my MAX only had a rear plate. In MA they only required a rear license plate up until about 15 years ago. They let you keep using only the rear green plate as long as you want but newly registered cars require 2 plates. Two years ago I purchased a 2007 Acura TL and the front plates looked absurd. With the RMV I swapped plates and now have the green rear green plate on the Acura TL.

I don't like a front plate on the MAX but it looks more acceptable than on the Acura TL.
