Clutch flywheel setups???

hey guys just trying to get a feel of what everyone is running as far as the clutch flywheel setup and reviews/complaints (chattery, harsh, regret??)

I'm considering a Comeptition clutch ultralight flywheel and going with a Clutchmasters 6 puck sprung clutch. I will be going turbo within the next 6 -7 months hopefully. I'm also getting a rebuilt tranny due to bearings in there going bad.

So please post away with your setup and any suggestions you can give.

All w/ OEM Flywheels on the 5MT:

Exedy Stg.1 Organic
-Best I've driven to date

All OEM 5th Gen
-Meh....... Not bad.....

Nismo Z32 Clutch + Exedy Stg.1 PP
-Chattery, but bites, gets the job done w/ doin' da bizness.

As a reminder, my applications for these clutches were used w/ intake/exhaust mods, nothing too srz

And decided to go LSD. Going to cost me about 1400 for the tranny, taxes, and core difference.

If that's a used price, it seems kind of high unless it's a rebuilt with a warranty.

For ~ $1800, you could buy a brand new LSD tranny from the dealer.

Yeah it's a complete rebuit from Man-tran here in Tally. Your right I could spend $1000 on a 6sp but I would have a used tranny and pretty sure it wouldn't be LSD. Soooo not to be rude but this thread is asking about clutch/flywheel setups and if we could stay on topic.
Thanks guys!

Then don't derail your own thread by talking about your transmission, kthx.

FYI Any nissan 240MM clutch disk will work, so keep that in mind when shopping around.

I was mainly pointing out the 6sp comment swap but I see your point. I was saying the LSD tranny to add to any suggestions on set up.

Right now i run an exedy stage 1 and i love it as well.

Prior to this clutch i ran a six puck, and will never run one again. If you go with a stiff pressure plate just be aware of cracking clutch forks.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Do you know what brand 6 puck you had?

BTW - love the white rims, really looks good with the white. I wanted to do something similar but my car is white and just don't think it would look right.

I've had both OEM and Fidanza flywheel both with ACT HD pressure plate and ClutchNet 6-puck sprung hub disk.

Same amount of chatter with both (minimal once you learn how to deal with it - keep the revs up a little bit more than you would naturally, moderate to severe if you don't learn how to deal with it).

Honestly the flywheel is one of those things that is nice to have if you want to rev match, but beyond that it's not very useful for a turbo car since the gears in which you would notice the most difference are probably going to end up being useless anyways (1st and 2nd)
