Nissan Cefiro tuning??

More specifically, has anyone ever attempted or figured out how to replicate the tuning in the nissan cefiro and applied it to north american maximas, possibly through JWT, or some other sort of engine management?

Just curious if it has ever been tried. I remember reading the famous MEVI vs USIM thread and it was mentioned there.

To elaborate, the stock map on the nissan cefiro ecu is more agressive than our cars. My query related to if anyone has replicated similiar tuning through available sources to match it for our cars, and if so.. How?

chu crazy man, the tuning map for the cefiro, stock vs stock is more aggressive than our stock tuning, hence with the MEVI on both vehicles, the cefiro has a clear edge.

Hence my query if people have tried copying the tune onto our cars.

Not sure how to be more specific lol.

They may have a different ECU but if you use a common tuning device like e-Manage Ultimate or even if you get a regular JWT ECU you will have a much more powerful tune than whatever a stock Cefiro had. MEVI makes more power than USIM regardless of the type of ECU.

Its times like these I dont like the max. No matter what route you go, to get the most out of serious performance mods you have to spend so much because out tuning options are so few and far between. Im not even going to mention my projected cost to get the v2 in and then tuned.

Yea i think what happened way back then is that some people suggested that maybe the cefiro ecu had a higher rev limit or different tune and the guy who was overseas tried to send one back. I dont think anything ever happened. But either way, like moncef said, something like the EU will do it.
