I've left my lights on twice and had to jump my car so I figured I would ask here before I take it to my mechanic.

The beep I am talking about is when you leave your headlights on and open the door. As far as I know it just stopped working one day. I only noticed it after I left my lights on the first time. I also noticed that the beep it makes when you first insert the key doesn't happen anymore either. I imagine they're the same thing.

It definitely doesn't have to do with the door because the dome lights still come on when I open the door.

Any ideas?

 

Under the dash there's a little white box that makes the noise. Look to see if it's connected.

 

Mine beeps when the lights are left on but not when the key is in the ignition, I wonder if it two seperate things.

 

Same thing here, the ignition beep works sometimes, I think it has something to do with the door switch...

 

Hmmm....interesting. I know there is a fuse associated with it but can't remember off the top of my head.
