4/99 Brakes different from the rest of 4th gens?

Everytime I go to price rotors online somewhere, there's always two options for fourth gens. There's a 3/99 maxima and older option. then 4/99 and later option, which is always more expensive. Is there a difference?

that's probably when they started making 2000 model year maximas.

edit: looks like you figured it out.

For the front the caliper and torque member are wider to fit the thicker rotor on a 00-01. Same diameter and same pads though.

Rears are same from 95-01.

A/C compressor.

But we're off topic.

The 4/99 are 00 IIRC and the rotors are diffeent on the rear side facing the knuckle.... There's about 1" of rotor material removed too fit the bigger steering knuckles! The earlier -3/99 have more rotor surface since the steering knuckle is smaller....

I speak it and write it well! Is there something you're not understanding? I'm glad you have 00' on your 98'.....you can't put 98' on a 00' cause the steering knuckles are larger on the 00'- later! Again the inboard rotor faces have less material on the 00-01 to clear the larger steering knuckles! I spoke english again....So maybe you need to read this again, it might not have soaked through yet!

Pulp Fiction, do you watch it?

Your statements still do not make it any more clear.

The 95-99 rotor is the same as a 00-01 aside from thickness. The 95-99 is 22mm, 00-01 is 26mm. Vented rotors have vents in the middle, not off set to one side. There is not any material missing on either side.

Since you're having a hard time understanding nomenclature....the inboard side is the inner surface riding against the caliper piston! The dimensions are different believe me or check yourself....The 3rd and 4th front brake are identical the 00-01 are slightly thicker correct and the inner rotor face (inboard) surfaces are different, which means the 00-01 have less surface area due to the outside diameter to inside diameter of the inner rotor face being smaller so the larger steering knuckle wouldn't interfere! DO I NEED TO TAKE A PIC?
