Car Wreck and Airbags Deployed. Car will not Start
My 1995 Maxima was involved in a car accident. My girlfriend hit someone in the back. The front bumper, grill, hood, radiator, and condenser were all damaged. The driver side air deployed but the passenger side bag did not.
I have only replaced the driver side airbag and the airbag control module.
When I turn the ignition switch to the ON position after 7 seconds the "airbag" on turns off.
However, the car will not start. There is not any power being delivered to the spark plugs or fuel to the injectors. The starter is working fine and the engine rotates.
I have checked all of the fuses inside the car within the kick panel on the driver's side, and also the fuses under the hood on the driver's side of the car. The ABS fuse had blown so I replaced it. I also replaced the "ANTI THEFT/START" relay trying to see if the car would start.
There was some damage to the housing of the relays that sit near the front of the car by the radiator. However, I believe those relays are to control the radiator fans and some other miscellaneous parts. Three of the five fuses are listed as "RAD FAN 1", "RAD FAN 2", and "RAD FAN 3".
The car was running fine before. What should I check for or replace to get the car back running? Is there some type of kill switch on the car? Could the problem due to the PCM (the main computer)?
The check engine light does not come on at all.
Thanks.

Are you saying, when u turn the key to the "ON" position, that the CEL does not illuminate?
U might have a blown bulb, or worst case the PCM is fried. Jus go to the junkyard and pull another. They easy to find.
If the PCM is fine, then u have to check the CKPS tranny side. It is mounted on the tranny housing pointed towards the flywheel.
There is a subharness for the CKPS. Check its getting power.

Haha, so after a wreck the car doesnt work! Go fig!
But really, the starter is the most basic thing on the car and requires next to nothing to be operated. Just a battery and a signal to the solenoid. It would seem to me that part of your harness could be damaged... Typically an ECU wont go bad that easily. Id start spark chasing.

Where is the 140a main fuse located? The engine wasn't not damaged at all. I'm not sure where the neutral/safety switch is on the car. Or if I have one since it's a 5 speed.

The fuse listed as "ALARM THEFT" on my car is also for the "START" fuse. I will see if the ground bolt is loose or broke, and try cranking the car without that fuse. Thanks.

The 120/140 amp fuse (fed car/cali car) is in the fuses under the hood by the battery. While you are there, check the 30 amp fuse labeled IGN SW.
Try other things on the car to see if they work, like the wipers, windows, seats, horn. Knowing what else doesn't work will help to isolate the problem.
If a car cranks, the park/neutral safety switch is not a problem. And more importantly for you, it is only used with an auto trans.
