Front And Rear Lighting Problem

Front And Rear Lighting Problem
This has probably been Answered a few times but I could not find it in the Forum.
I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima.
The other day I noticed my Licence plate lights and 2 brake lights were out. I replaced all of the bulbs and the brake lights worked fine but the licence plate lights still did not work.
About a day later I noticed that now my tail lights (running lights) did not work when the headlights were turned on. Also the front side markers do not light either.
The brake lights still all come on when brakes are applied and directionals and reverse work as-well.
I tested every fuse every relay and all were fine. I thought it might be a bad ground but They all were fine as-well. I also though I might have replaced the brake lights with the wrong bulbs but I am almost positive they are correct.
I was told it could be the headlight switch or a short in a wire?
I don't think its the switch because they worked just a day or two before.
Aren't the tail lights and licence plate lights connected?
Any ideas guys? Thanks

This happened to me before.
You missed a fuse.
The tails, side markers, and license plate light are all on the same circuit/fuse. For all those lights to be out, tells me that the problem is common to all those components.
So either:
A) The fuse is blown (most likely)
B) You have a short in that circuit and that will be a bish to isolate and find. (less likely)
The brake lights are not on the same circuit.
Double check the in-cabin fuses. IIRC, the proper fuse should indicate "tail"
