I looked at a 98 Maxima yesterday and found that the frame where the cross brace was attatched to it was completely rusted through. anyway i could get tht fixed?

 

SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH! There are a million threads on the subjust and even a picture walk through... Cost at a shop is around $500... OEM parts or bust. Fleabay will crumple and tear. You do it yourself youll need a welder and a spot weld drill bit...

Yeah, very common issue. Shouldn't have much problems finding threads and mucho information.

 

radiator core support.

 

Get the lower radiator support replaced. Roughly $800 for complete job which involves painting over front half of the car. Some places will charge less if that's the only thing you want to replace.

 

LKQ and rust proof the **** out of it. seam sealer, primer and green undercoat, and cavity wax the hell out the inside.
