Bad/low power?

Just recently installed a new alpine stereo in my '99 GLE. Ever since then the lights on my shifter do not illuminate. Also when opening or closing my windows or moonroof, it just seems sluggish. I find it hard to believe the radio is taking up so much power or shorted out the lights, any ideas?

Double check your wiring. I have seen several radios that were wired wrong cause all sorts of problems.
