96 MAXIMA SAME FUSE KEEPS BLOWING AND CAR WONT START
HEY I GOT AN AUTOMATIC 96 MAXIMA MY FUSE KEEPS CONSTANTLY BLOWING AND ITS THE SAME ONE.I THINK I SHOULD CHANGE THE FUSE BOX BUT NOT SURE THIS IS THE PROB BUT I KNOW ITS A SHORT CIRCUIT. IT WILL BLOW THE FUSE THEN THE CAR WONT START UNTIL I CHANGE IT, IT BLEW SIX FUSES IN A ROW EVERY TIME I CHANGED IT ONE TIME. IT WOULD MAKE A BIG SPARK. IT IS ON THE FUSE BOX INSIDE IT IN THE MIDDLE ROW OF FUSES THE SEVENTH ONE FROM THE BOTTOM UP IT SAY BAT/7.5/INT ILL.. LET ME KNOW YOUR IDEAS ON HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM THANKS

Well INT ILL MEANS ITS THE CIRCUIT FOR THE INTEROIR ILLUMINATION. YOUR CAR SHOULD START FINE REGARDLESS.
DID YOU REPLACE A BULB RECENTLY INSIDE THE CAR?
TRY STARTING THE CAR WITH THE HEADLIGHTS OFF. THE FUSE WILL NOT BLOW. TURN ON THE HEADLIGHTS BLOWS THE FUSE, YES? ITS SOMETHING IN THE CIRCUIT OF THE INTERIOR LIGHTS.

IT IS MOST LIKELY THE DOME LIGHT OR ANOTHER BULB INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. REMOVE BULBS UNTIL THE BROBLEM GOES AWAY. IT COULD ALSO BE A SHORTED WIRE, BUT NOT AS LIKELY. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU REPLACE THE FUSE BOX RATHER THAN TROUBLESHOOT, STARTING WITH THE LOADS (LIGHTS) AND WORKING BACK.

FUSES BLOW BECAUSE POSITIVE IS TOUCHING NEGATIVE. FOR EXAMPLE IF THERE IS WATER SOMEHOW GETTING IN YOUR DOOR, THE LOWER DOOR LIGHT WILL CAUSE THE SHORT. DO NOT PUT A HIGHER RATED FUSE IN THE HOLDER, THE FUSE IS FOR YOUR PROTECTION.

thanks for the help guys well the fuse usually blows when iv been driving it for a while i just remembered that there was always a rattling noise in the inside light that you could turn on right on top of the driver seat maybe every time the light bulb would make contact it would short circuit but that same fuse would blow out and the car would not start until i changed it
