p1320 code for my 1999 maxima

recently while driving home the RPMs on my car drop to below 2000 rpm and would not alllow the engine to get any higher. Had car towed to the dealership where i was told the car went into a fail safe mode because numerous ignition coils wents bad. Recommendation was to replace all six coils and plugs. So I purchase six new after market coils (approx $30 each) along with new plugs. Installed and during the op test the car ran fine for about four miles before the same systoms returned, car will not go above 2000 rpm and seems to jerk as it approaches this speed. No check engine light came on but I put the dianostic reader on it and I get a P1320 code. Any help in determining the problem would be appreciated. Car has 215000 miles and I would like it to last at least another 50000.

Found your problem
Go OEM dude.
If I am not mistaken, when it won't rev above 2k rpm, it could also mean a faulty MAF. Give your MAF a clean.

+1 on getting OEM coils and cleaning the MAF. I have OEM coils laying around if you need some.

Are you just getting P1320? Any other codes? Has your check engine light been on prior to this problem. Don't buy aftermarket coils, I bought one it was like flushing money down the toilet, because it gave me code P1320.

Aftermarket coils is the culprit of your P1320 code, as stated above.

OEM or bust on those coils. Either by new, from a junkyard or from the classifieds
