95 or 96 rear struts on a 97?

Hey guys, would it be ok to put 95/96 rear struts on a 97 or are struts for those years manufactured differently? Need struts and a friend is parting out VERY cheap, but he has a 95 and a 96 while I drive a 97. Thanks.
