03 Maxima 3.5 Tranny in 99 3.0?
So yea i race quite a bit but my friend says it cause the way i race it,i push it to the maxxx Right before redline switch it manually to 2nd and sometimes it hits the rev limiter on accident and on rolls only way i get the 06 is if i do a 20 roll put in neutral rev to 4000rpm and slam down into 1st i burn tires all thru first but still pull away from the 3.5....i know its All Hell on the tranny But I think i just need a 5 speed swap.
yes the tranny i put in few months ago was junk yard but only has 120k miles! Id like to know what i can do to toughen up the auto until i can swap 5 speed in it.
&& I call it a Factory Freak Cause Wife has a 95 and friend has a 97 and before i did Y pipe I beat both of their cars by like a bus link or 4 cars got my Ypipe and its just embarrassing what it does to them, i dont think the 99 did anything different but mine runs strong i got 245k miles on motor, they have 140 and 170 So leads me to think mine was deffentely properly broken in when new.

6mt, yes the mounts are different. Auto, no the mounts are the same.
The automatic transmissions from 1995-2003 are the same.

Don't do that.

The only difference between the 95-99 and 00-03 is the final drive ratio. Many of us have pondered it's because of the taller tires on the 5th gens.
The reprogramming kit is slightly a miscommunication since nothing electronic is happening to illegitimately claim a "reprogram".
There are the age old TCM reprogram kits, but are unproven and outdated.
There's the Suprastick, but I think at your level, a VB mod or Trans Go kit is better suited for your needs.
I'm using 4th gen mounts on my 2003 currently.

the reprogramming kit completely changes the way the trans shifts. it also increases the line pressures and shift pressures and makes the trans shift stronger and last longer
my car.
it takes everything i give it. my first 2 4th gen trannys couldnt take it and gave up on me
incorrect
the reprogramming kit is installed in the valvebody.
its called a reprogramming kit because it reprograms the valvebody. the valvebody controls the way the trans shifts not the tcm.
the tcm only reviews data and commands solenoids on and off with info givin by the valvebody. the valvebody is the brain.
the 5th gen trans is completely different the ratios are different because it came with more power the valve body is completely different and the fluid routing is different just about the only thing that is the same is the case because it was bolted to a 3.0 block
before i swapped in the 5th gen trans in to my max i did all my home work the valve bodys are not compatible the sloenoids had to be spliced in and alot of sh*t changed.
before the VI my car was a dog after the brake torque because it just didnt have enough power for the ratios.
heres a link with some info

yes, i told myself when i installed the last tranny i wouldnt do any Neautral Drops, But started addin bolt ons and got carried away and here i am again same boat....
I was thinkin, I drove her 120 miles today and when cold it will kill motor like the tranny is locked up when put in R or D and after awhile it will stop and finnally drive but slip and slam into last gear even if i floor it she barely moves along and come to a light its stuck in 4th gear and shuters and will shut motor off if i stop without putting into N...after 25 minutes shes GREAT for rest of day even doging it all down highway.
is it possible i got a clogged fluid filter or maybe the screens in the solynoids need to be cleaned? if so should i drop pan clean it all up or just go pay for a flush?
