How do you secure the lower end of the shock bellows?

I am wondering whether the shock and strut bellows should be secured with a ziptie or not.

Right now, the are just loose on the bottom. Is there a better way, or are they supposed to be like that?

stock ones...nothing..let them hang since the boots are a lot bigger than the strut.

aftermarket ones which have smaller opening use zip ties.
