Hey guys, under the hood n00b here.. lol. A friend was parting out his old 4th gen max and gave me a bag of parts, in it were these 2 that I'm not sure what they are/their purpose. Any point in swapping them into my 97? thanks..

 

the top photo is a set of licence plate lights

the bottom photo is a fuel pump

 

cool.. so the first one is useless to me. thanks lol

 

why would it be useless? unless that is black paint on them

 

maybe he doesn't want the fuzz to see his plates?

 

I'm pretty sure it's illegal in every state to not have your license plate lit up in the rear. Just sayin..

 

yep yep! it is... you can get pulled over for having just one of them out... They are worthless though. They look trashed.. extremely discolored n such... The fuel pump looks virtually new...

Also, love how he said "under the hood n00b here" and neither part was actually under the hood! So really its just "n00b here"!

 

The set of plate lights he already has on the car probably work just fine.


Which reminds me...I don't think mine work...should check again 2nite
