Cutting out

97 maxima runs fine at 60. cuts out if you floor it. Any advice?

Runs fine if you dont push the peddle down to fast. If you give it to much gas quickly, it cuts out. Let up again and it smooths out.

Let's start with this...Is your check engine light on? By "cutting out" do you mean its logging down? Tune up Items all good...plugs, fuel filter, air filter etc?

+1 I was leaning toward MAF as well but he needs to explain a little more.

Check engine light is not on. I mean it like stalls out. It is not skipping or misfireing.
It simply cuts totally off and on as if the coil wire was loose on an older type car. Has new fuel filter. Was at the garage for three weeks, but would not act up for him. The battery and alternater checked out fine.
