Setting on KYB Struts

I'm getting new KYB's and H&R's. Since the KYB AGX's are adjustable, can you guys who own them tell me what settings you leave them on and why? also how easy is it to access the **** on the struts to adjust them, would I have to raise the car?

I'm getting those, too. Everybody that I've talked to said that you can easily reach the ***** either through or from around the wheels. Everybody sets them at 4 on the front and 2 on the back. I'm gonna start at 1/1 and work my way up to see what's best.

Oh, sorry. I'm not an AGX expert yet. I have Eibachs, too, so it sounds like I'll end up leaving mine on 3/3 or 3/4 all the time.

You guys should loosen up the rears a bit. 2 up front and 4 in the rear is hard. If you just loosen up the rear a bit, the ride improves 100% but the handling stays. I'm running 2 / 2 front and rear. The car is sooooo much smoother set up that way. Give it a shot.

It really depends on what springs you have. I have ebicahs and they are stiffer than stock so my settings would be different than stock settings.

but it takes time to find out what you like. different ride for different people.

2 up front & 4 in the rear. 2 front & 6 in teh rear when dragging. I do all local driving so i feel that having a semi-plush ride is needed w/ some handling on teh side.

why don't you just set it 4 on front and 8 on back for dragging?

do most of the people here know that 2 in the front and 4 in the back is an even setting

I set mine 1 front, 2 rear. I originally had it 2 front, 4 rear, but the car rode harshly, and I was surprised that handling was unchanged at 1/2 but the ride is much much nicer. Try it and you will know what I mean.

there are 4 settings on the front and eight on the back. therefore halfway on the back is 4 while half way on the front is 2.

I liked 2+5 when lowered a lot but for my winter setup I went with 1 and 3. its a matter of playing around and feeling out what you like and how it reacts

KYB AGX's are struts/shocks, not springs. Right now there is a group deal for H&R's for $175 or something like that. That is a great price for great springs. I dunno anyone who has ever complained about the H&R's.

Thanks, I didn't know there were more settings in the rear. Hopefully in the next few months I'll be able to pick up a set and play.
