4th Gen door window replacement

Hey, does anyone know how to replace the windows in the doors? It doesn't have any info in the FSM for the 99 maxima.

Thanks in advance,
Ken

Yup.

Pull door panel off, remove plastic covering door, roll window down until you can get a 10mm socket in the 2 bolts holding window to the lift mechanism, remove bolts, pull window up and out of door, PULL WINDOW OUT VIA THE EXTERIOR OF THE DOOR OR IT WILL NOT COME OUT. replace with new window. To get the new window in, you may have to drop the front edge in first...can't remember. Make sure it goes in the tracks. Then button everything back up. Orrrrr....see my Sig for the link to how to videos by pmohr and look at the one that is for replacing the window regulator.

usually you have to drop the front end down to get them in and out. you put it in on an angle, then you swivel it back while watching to make sure that both ends go into the run channel.

Yes, the curve of the window will not allow it to be pulled out by pulling it toward the inside of the door.
