Rear end rattle like a mother#$%^er. Please help!
My rear end rattles whenever the car is traveling on an uneven pavement and on a high speed curve exiting/entering the right. My mechanic friend took the rear wheel off, checked everything, and found everything secured. The only thing he tightened was the center piston nut for the rear driver side strut but the noise still exist. Whenever it rattles I can feel the vibration through my e-brake, the e-brake handle is somewhat loose. I can raise the e-brake about 1/2 inch without any clicking. My friend says that the e-brake is fine and suggest to replace the spring seat on the rear driver side. Can someone pinpoint this the cause of the rattling noise?

I had a similar crashing sound over bumps before I did a rear pad retainer clip mod. Take a rubber mallet and bang it against the rear tires, if you hear any rattling chances are your pads aren't making solid contact with the retainer clips and consequentially the torque member.
This is the thread I made addressing and correcting the issue:

Does it go away when you apply the brakes?? The metal shims that hold in the pads are more than likely worn out... it could also be as something as simple as an exhaust hanger...check and also make sure nothing fell in spare tire well....

I don't think it goes away when brakes are applied. I can feel slight vibration from the e-brake when I'm on even pavement. The hanger was replaced few months ago and I checked everything. Is there anything that goes from the e-brake to the rear? the reason why I'm asking is because the rattling noise sounded very close by when I'm driving.
