Has anybody tried this??

instead of shaving the badging, has anybody tried painting them to match the body color? I have a black max and was thinking about blacking out the badges on the back as well as the grill. Let me know if anybody has any pics.

I shaved most of the emblems off on my car. I did paint the trunk key hole black to match my superblack Maxima. Looks pretty good, unless you're close up, it seem like the rear is clean shaven.

Personally to me, the a$$ of the Maxima is to wide to be bare. It just doesnt look right. If you painted the emblems (not hard) I think it would look clean but just not as plain.

When people shave the antenna what happens to it anyway? Like I mean how do you get reception?

I have the badges on my black Maxima shaved and since I'm probably not going to ever need the badges again, I'm goign to paint them glossy black to match my body color. I'll temporarily attach it to the back of my car just to see how it looks. I love how it looks without the badges but I am kinda curious to see what it would look like with body-color badges. I'll let you guys know how it looks when I test it out.

YES, I have it done!

I have wanted to have that done since the day I bought my car...

I shaved my hamburger off the back, and then had those M A X I M A emblems left... but didnt want to shave them, dont like the shave trunk thaat much...

my car was in a HIT&RUN a few weeks ago, and got her back... with paint-matched M A X I M A letters on the trunk..

looks AWESOME imo, I love it.. its like what the viper has (that is where i got the idea.. from my friends vipers)

i am at school right now, when I go home I'll have the digicam to send up pics, that will be weekend after next though (the 19th of jan).. my car is metallic starfire blue btw.

get it done, it looks great !

I had asked before, most body shops wont do it b/c they cant warranty their paint sticking to the letters, they suggest just you buying touchup and painting it on.
