Have you checked for any stored error codes?
The CPS controls injector pulse timing.
No bent prongs in any connectors you unplugged?

She starts right up and continues running? Be more descriptive.

I did the same thing as you on my friends 99I30. She wouldn't start and I flooded the engine. I waited a while and started the car again, but with the accelerator floored. Even with that she sputtered back to life. It wasn't a roar as I expected.

No Starts right up then dies...And Question is on the Fuel Return Line if i take off the Fuel line and only keep the incoming line on shouldn't fuel be returning to the tank? Cause theirs none at all coming out return hose even while starting it.

When removing old fuel hoses to replace i kinda bent up the fuel rail but not like its fully blocked like its acting....im lost on this one!

I'm not sure how much should be returning on startup, but there should be something. Do you prime the pump, leave the car in the RUN position before starting? Try doing that several times before starting, and see what happens.

Also, you replaced the fuel hoses around the fuel rail? The FSM says not to do that, like *ever*

When I did my friends car, I just lifted the rail. You lift the rail from the passenger side and the entire unit angles up out of the way to give complete access to the lower intake manifold.

Your car is acting like one fuel injector is stuck open where all the fuel is dumping inot

When you turn the key to the run position, do your hear that little chatter dance of the injectors opening and closing? Try listening carefully maybe one of them is stuck.

The injectors will not fire if you have removed the ground wires that are bolted to the lower intake manifold. They are the 2 bolts right in the the front. Bolt them back in and all the injectors should fire unless they are bad.

I would also check the fuel pump fuse as well. Make sure the lower intake manifold has continuity to ground on battery terminal.

yes the injectors do their little dance lol...well problem now is for some odd reason im not getting fuel into either of the fuel rails. i removed the fuel pressure regulator and turned key with fuel line connected and no fuel came out regulator and fuel is coming out the line connected to the regulator...

what would cause the regulator to completely restrict the fuel flow? is it no good?

Nope wasn't The Regulator its still not passing fuel past the regulator? i didnt connect it only the main fuel line to it and turned key and no fuel came out it..why would regulator not allow fuel to go into fuel rails?

Because it failed? Just replace it. $60 part. Also, being that it is a regulator suggests that fuel should always come thorugh. Its funtion is to keep a constant fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

By the way, whats the condition of your fuel filter?

LMAO? Cmon dude. Mistakes like that can make your car go BOOOM, and take you with it. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but be careful. This is gasoline we're talking about, a highly explosive liquid.

We are all human beings, so we all make mistakes. When I was doing my friend's intake manifold I took a gazzilon pictures because I knew I would forget. The pictures did save me on several occaission as I put things back together.
