Spring and Ball bearing found in pan after draining manual transmission oil 98 5spd

I found a Spring and a Ball bearing in my drain pan after draining my manual transmission oil while changing my clutch.

The spring probably goes back in. The ball bearing could have come from those cheap Harbor Freight casters on my tool box, tool cart and creeper.

Could someone iluminate me on whether these 2 parts go back in the drain plug port and in what order? ( i.e. drain plug -ball- bearing - spring )?

Thanks

It belongs in the case of the transmission. It is odd that it would come out in the drain. I remember seeing pictures somewhere of a full rebuild that showed the spring and ball, there are a few of them on the tranny.

It came out because the bolt he removed wasnt the actual drain plug.

Its one of the detent ball and spring for the shift rods.

The drain plug is on the other side, right next to the cross member.
