Sounds like you are talking about the top speed limiter. I'm sure it cuts fuel at the limit which is 130mph. I'll never have to go faster, nor do I reach those speeds on a regular basis. Pass.

Me too, no mods and it hits 120 in no time. Of course I'm 5spd and let it rev.

All maximas should go like stink to 120 mph. Past 120 the accelleration slows down but still continues. Some GXE's however, had a speed limiter which kicked in at 117 mph, and that's because of the tires. The standard tires on GXEs are rated to 117 mph, so Nissan programmed the GXE ECU to stop there. All caremakers do that.

If your maxima can barely reach 100, then yeah, you got problems.

Ive already got rid of that speed limiter on my 96 gxe. The owner had something put in that set the speed limiter at 80mph. Try passing a semi going 77 with a top speed of 80. I've had it up o 115mph b4 a blacked out Toyota Camry with a chrome luggage rack scared the hell out of me lol I can't wait to open her up and see what it can rea6lly do.

FYI street racing and tales of eccessive speed is grounds for locking a thread and ban. Lets at least TRY to keep it clean.

My 95 auto does 80 to 100 in a breeze. Even with mismatched tires. And its all stock.
