What were the codes that lead you to the MAF?
Check the electrical connection, more specifically the connections within the connector itself. Look for lose, frayed or corrosion on both sides of the connector.

Did you try and clean the OEM MAF? Take some MAF cleaner and spray the heck out of that little wire inside. I took an acid brush and cleaned the heck out of it. That little wire in there is more robust than I thought it would be, in fact its real solid.
That worked wonders for me.

Another thing to check with MAF. When you remove the MAF ftom the manifold, there is a round rubber piece between the MAF and the intake. Nissan calls it an "isolator." If it is hardened or cracked, it will also need to be replaced. Costs about $10 at the dealer. If the isolator is bad, it will leak unmetered air into the intake behind the MAF, thus confusing the ECU. I didn't realize it was bad on my car until I was actually changing the MAF; had to run up to the dealer and get a new one.

Just leave car off, open hood, disconnect wire harness from MAF and loosen both clamps on either end to slip out. Make sure the rubber insulators are good and install new MAF and reverse the steps I just mentioned. My MAF seems to start going out as it randomly stalls coming to a stop sometimes but no code yet.
