More transmission issues

About 3 weeks ago I yanked out my lsd tranny and put in a non lsd with new seals and bearings just to get me around until I save up enough pennies to have my lsd one rebuilt. I put in a new clutch while it was out and a new drivers side axle. With that being said, the car drove fine for 2 weeks until the other night when I was coming home I was backing into my driveway when it grinded a bit going into reverse. I put it back in neutral and went to let out the clutch and she stalled.. Started her back up and was stuck in 2nd gear even tho the shifter was clearly in neutral. 4 gear is where reverse is I believe and 5th is somewhere inbetween 3rd and 5th. I cannot move my shifter left to right and its all out of whack. I disconnected the linkage and it all moved properly so that rules out that. The slave is working as it should, I have no leaks, and it doesnt make any strange noises.. Can someone maybe shed some light on this for me before I yank this tranny out?

i've got a feeling i know what is going on here and how to fix it.

pull the position sensor/reverse light sensor plug, all the oil will come out when you do this so be prepared for that. shine a flashlight in there and check the shift selector fingers and use a screwdriver or other long skinny implement to pop the 1/2 shift rail/selector back into the neutral position. here is a picture of the shift selectors that I'm talking about (i made this picture for someone who was stuck in 4th, but the same principle applies)

Thanks for the info and picture. If this what could potentially be my problem would it still allow me to shift into 4th and 5th? Because like I stated earlier.. I can shift into those gears but they are not where they should be.
