Its not a complicated kit nor is it a difficult job. I would just call it tedious and you need the right tools such as a torque wrench to get correct OEM specs. If you understand the components of a transmission then you can install it yourself. It seems like a lot before you start but once you get in there I really think you will be fine

I didn't go to him, they have a tool shop attached and I was looking for an in/lb torque wrench that was rated for the small amount of torque the vb requires. I couldn't find one so I just gave up and used the "feel" method

I know you've used that method before too, especially since I've witnessed you do torque to spec by "feeling" in my garage, you didn't forget now did you?

There is no way your going to find a shop to do it for that pricing.

And that's cheaper then what I've heard/seen. It is labor intensive and takes time so a shop is going to charge you that much. I've heard of people paying $700-$1000 to get it installed, so $400 doesn't seem that bad for a shop doing it.

When I was shopping around I don't think anyone wanted under $500 iirc. That's why I just did it myself.

That BS!!!!! I can rebuild the whole transmission for that price. Thats not remotely close to install a shift kit that takes 2 hours max to put in.

2 hours? Took me 8 the first time and 4-5 the second time. You have to be careful and slowly do this or you will **** it up, lose parts, etc. It's not hard just takes time, **** it takes half an hour just to drain the trans, unless you want to soak yourself in AT fluid.

I was quoted $500 and up and I've heard of others paying more, it's not BS. If you can get it done for $150-200 at a legit shop, I'll put my foot in my mouth.

I don't have the maxima anymore, sold it months ago. This is the best I have, it's the video of when I installed bigger injectors when I was preparing it for that turbo powAh!

Excuse the ****ty cellphone audio and my cold, this **** was in the middle of winter ...It's also not as cool as Paul's video, especially the first few seconds with the accent, dude you had me ****in' rolling

I've had it shut down on me but through the blessings of the car gods after "talking to baby and tell you start and go to station" it starts back up and makes to the gas station ... Then it dies...
Gas is expensive homie. Only 93 yamsayin
