New parts or your own, either will need a reprogram and will cost the same. Why would you want to go thought the additional labor of replacing parts? Are you 100% sure it's immobilized?

Go to your buddy to reprogram your system to recognize your keys. The dealer was just trying to sell you parts. Ive seen 399 posts about NATS locking up, and NEVER a word about parts going bad.

All you need is a reprogram. If your buddy has the reprogramming tool, then call him up and grab him a 12 pack and get to it!
