Hopefully you will produce the 25% gains that all ECU company's boast. The problem is, none have been able to do it with the Maxi-pad yet. (Venom 400, what a peice of ****). But, hopefully someone here would donate and maybe get those mods free for their time, and we could all have an ECU that actually works like a superchip does on most domestics

Confucious Say: If Weapon R could engineer an effective but affordable ECU upgrade, large profits would follow.

I would like to thank you all for your input and your vote of confidence.. Unfortunately the ECU Upgrade is not a simple CHIP And motherboard upgrade.. It is pretty much a stand alone COmputer which is piggy backed onto your stock computer. It can control your idle, Air Fuel Ratio , Ignition Curves, Performance at certain loads , transmission shift points, rev limit , speed limit , etc..

FYI.. Our Filters actually out flow any cotton filter out on the market today.. Please specify why you think our filters suck?
If you really think about it.. Cotton is not man made.. the pores on the filter are not consistant.. where our foam is man made and computer generated.. We control the flow and the perosity of our foam, where we know how much it flows and how good it filters out dirt.. where cotton is inconsistant.. as far as our filter design, we put time into our designs, we are highly into hydrodynamics and aerodynamics, you actually think those cotton filters are flow tested and aero/hydro dynamically designed? I don't think so.. We have made more power than any other filter out there that is in the same size range..

Just my 2 cents..

I'll keep you guys posted on my progress..

Well, I emailed him, and I'm probably going to drive down from Seattle to do it. He said that the ECU is gonna cost $700! And I don't get one! All I get is the CAI and dyno sheets. Which might make it worthwhile, plus I have family there. No problemo!

You are the man! Thanks!

700 for full control like he outlines is a good price as long as its user programable via a PC. If its factory set

Interesting.

You might wnat to give www.maximadriver.com a look. There are a lot of CA owners out there. You might even want to post in the NW forum for some people who will let you do testing on their cars. If i wasnt in NJ, i would love to send my car down for testing.

Will this ECU work for 98 & 99's? No one has made ECU's for this 2 years.

ALso, would you consider a NOS ECU?

Thanks.

$700 ? What a surprise. Another mod for the Maxima that costs an @ssload more than other cars. I've just been ****ed outta this deal.

Can someone tell me WHY we can't make a freakn chip like superchip or something for a decent price of around $250 ???

Well, he said it's not a stand alone ECU. It's a piggyback type. I'm going to find out some more info on this. There's no way that I'm gonna be able to afford $700 to keep it though. So, I'll go down there have them hook everything up, do a couple dyno pulls and have them take the ecu off. Then we'll let everyone know what happens. I'm pretty excited though. Seeing as how I'm unemployed, I've got all the time in the world!

Well I'm not sure if I wasted my time but I send an E-mail to SuperChips to see what they would say about developing an ECU for us.

I'll post up any reply I get from them..!

PRETTY PLEASE WITH A CHERRY ON TOP MAKE IT WORK WITH 98 PLUS!!!!! I WILL BUY IT IN A HEART BEAT!!! (if it shows the gains) But if it can't be user programable like MardiGrasMax mentioned, then I will have to wait till after the SC. But please keep us posted, and if you need a sales rep, then just ask Cheston or Emax about my efforts with the UPRD ECU during the beginning stages(now known as G-Force ECU).

The $700 price tag is for the ECU and the Cold Airbox and the intake system.. Only for the car that comes forward for testing..

I will try to keep the price low... It's not up to me..

The ECU is not user programmable only tuner programmable..
The manual is about 1000 pages and you have to have some type of tuner background to be able to understand the jargun..
So it's better left to a quailified tuner..

You can use it for NOS, or forced induction, since it will only maximize the performance of the engine.. But if you want a specific tune for a specific SC or Turbo or NOS Set-up you will need me to tune it for you.. I mean variables will change when you add more boost or NOS.. So it's best to tune for best performance NA..

Im still waiting for someone to confirm the date for dyno tuning..

So how much for the ECU chip alone ??If you really produce %25 gains, then i'd say price it to compete with superchips.

But, if you have a tuner back round and have access to a dyno for tuning can you supply the software to self program for a supercharged application?

Email him. I did and he told me I'd get the CAI Box. And the Filter kit. I was looking on their site and the CAI Box they have looks like a glorified heat shield. I don't think I'm gonna drive 13 hours one way for something like that. Now if they were to include the ECU I'd be all over it in a heartbeat.
