Am I getting ripped off?

As we all know, Icelandic Pearl is a pain in the *** to get, So I called Sherwin Williams, I gave them the paint code, year make and model and they told me they had it and could have it mixed for me today, with clear coat, hardener and all the extras, 170 bucks for a quart of the stuff. I just wanna know if I'm getting ripped off or not here, because it seems a little expensive.

Is this for your 96? I don't see "icelandic pearl" available for that year, according to automotivetouchup.com

for a 99 (QT1):

Looks like a 99-01 color.

It seems to me, yes. I got a quart of QN0 (arctic pearl) of each stage. White base, pearl, and clear. Oh and i also have a rattle can of stage as well. Paid a little over $60 for it all.

what the ****????? im confused. 170 bucks for a quart of the icelandic pearl? is that the base coat or the mid coat?(because pearls come as a base coat, and then a mid coat that goes on top of that to create the pearl effect with mica) or a half a quart of both? or quart of both? or what? and is it a quart sprayable(already reduced) or is it non sprayable?(non sprayable makes more because you buy reducer and mix it with an already full quart of base) and is it another quart of clear too? its hard to understand any of these details through your post.

It's a 3 stage paint, so did you get 3 quarts or 1 quart of base color, quart of pearl and quart of clear? You will only need 2 coats of clear, but the number of coats of base and pearl may differ in order to match the finish on your car. It's not an easy color to match.

Your paying retail for the paint, so it's going to cost you.
