I have a 97 SE fed spec with cattman y-pipe. Will xs power shorty headers fit the cattman ypipe with no problems? Direct fit? Has anyone done this combo? I'd hate to to & have to hack. Thx in advance

I do have the uim Off right now cause I'm in the middle of a MEVI install (waiting on some fuel injector orings) so rear bolts easier to get to. So no noticeable gains with XS? Fitment issues?

 

In my experience the xs power are about 1/4" off and the ypipe will need to be massaged in order to fit.

Cattman or obx header/y over just pipe will net you like 7whp. Smaller gains over a y pipe (around 15whp) cause there are no pre cats there so only flow is being optimized.

So the xs will have gains but not what other headers offer, mainly because they're oem like headers but with separate runners instead of log style headers.

Those are estimated numbers but from looking at many dyno sheets, researching exhaust forever lol I can say its a really good educated estimate hope this helps
