come on now... rock chips, and what he has on the front of his car, are COMPLETELY different. if you cant see that from the pictures he posted then may god have mercy on your shop.Originally Posted by CallMeThatOneGuy

ok...
The body lines of the Maxima do not allow for good results of two-tone. Plain and simple.

Doughboy'd I30 is, IMO, the only two-tone that looks good.
Don't even bother doing two-tone until you get a drop and different wheels, OP, or you'll have this:

lol yea paint jobs suck just wondering tho cause if you have alot of sun fade of mad visible scratches and u dont want to spend alot of money i have heard many times the 50 dollar rustoleum paint job is decent and it holds up decently. but just the roller gives mad orange peel but i guess with right prep work and sanding after itll come out better. but you can also plastidip it with a procarkit from dipyourcar and its gonna be aroudn 300 bucks just have a good spraying technique and youll get a smooth surface. my friend was going to do the 50 dollar paint job to his 22 year old 300zx but i think he changed his mindOriginally Posted by litch

The paint is slightly fading on the top of the car... so there is kinda a need. But when I got the car it was a mess, it had a vq35de swap using the the jwt timing adaptors, the engine had a spun berring, and the timing adaptors failed, hence the full swap. The interior is all messed up, needs new carpet, resurfacing of all the dash and the door panels...etc... so its not like there is alot that doesnt need fixing, I'm doing everything in sections, first the engine/mechanical then the paint, then the interior, then extras.

sounds like alot of fun but also alot of money lol. are you thinking of ordering full interior pieces from leatherseats.com? next summer if i know ima keep my maxima for a long time i might do black with white inserts and im thikinign of letting my mom stitch together a cool custom made shift boot in pure white lol sure beats paying 50 bucks online for one. one of my friends is really into custom stuff and he is going to let a shop do a two tone black into white with a fade into it. dont know how much a shop would charge but sounds expensive. but yea on another thing if your money tied i would definitely take a look at dipyourcar.com and check out their forum people do two tones with that stuff but mostly full cars.

No sir, i will leave the back seats alone, and I will eventually put racing buckets in there. but thats at least a year out, I am still juggling way to much to even have anything more than a vauge idea of what i want to do after this.

Like I said in the beg. of this whole thread....the lighter color has to be on bottom for a two tone to look decent at all. You OP, are backwards if you want to even "TRY" to pull this off. Everyone in this thread that has said any positive remarks to a pic in here...the car's color scheme was this way.

The only two tone jobs that look good on an A32 are those that have an I30 body style. Two tone just doesn't go well with the Maxima body lines but the I30 has natural lines that can support it. Hence the reason why Idirty looks good and the Korean one above me.
Two tone is also more of a VIP thing.
