So I wanted to fix the ding and scratches on my Maxima. I bought the spray cans according to my color code ( white pearl ). But, my front and rear bumper are pretty banged up that I would have to paint it almost entirely and it still wouldn't look good as most of the scratches are pretty deep. Also, I'm not very comfortable with painting the car myself, so I searched online and found bumpers that come painted in your cars color.

Would you guys recommend it? Would you not? I'd like to know

 

Depending on price...rockauto.com sells them VERY cheap and go to a local shop and have it painted...I think you might save money and get a better match.

youre gonna have a lot of trouble with the spray cans tho. pearl is very hard to match.

 

The prices on the pre-painted bumpers aren't THAT bad. Some charge around $200-350. Depends, most of them charge an additional $60 for the tricoat, which in my case is needed. Also they ask for the VIN #, and color code, before placing an order. I thinks its more convenient FOR ME to do it this way, rather than buy the part separately and get someone at a shop to paint it for me. I really have to see, because I could end up getting a bad paint job either way.

 

no one has mentioned the painted part coming damaged like it isnt an option? fresh paint scratches/scuffs/gouges SO easily.
