Same here dude.....I need a new clutch too!

I plan on getting a new clutch by the end of the week.
I wanted to get the ACT clutch Kit but the shop I went to don't carry
them. The shop says they have the clutch master stage I. Anyone know
if the clutch master clutch kit is any good??

He says it cost $450 for the clutch. I went to the website and it was
$430. I guess the $20 difference is the shipping cost. And another
$450 for the installation. So it comes to a good $900 for everything.

I would hate to settle for a new stock clutch kit from the dealer.
I was suppose to have the car in the dealer tommorrow for a
diagnostic test or something......and to see how much it would cost
to repair it or a replacement with a new kit. This would s..ks!

Hopefully you can find a better price for your clutch kit!

zzeeoo, I can get you the ACT clutch for about $100 less than what the shop quoted you for the CF. I've got the ACT in stock and ready to ship

gryps, there's no need for an aftermarket clutch until you go w/ nitrous or a supercharger, but, the aftermarket ones have higher clamping power than the stock units.. making burnouts and 2nd/3rd gear chirps more fun :P

You know that doing the clutch job yourself is only a 12hr or so job...
At that rate you are looking at 40-50$/Hr you would be paying yourself to do it.. There are instructions in 2 places to do the job.. http://www.motorvate.ca/ and http://www.stormpages.com/autoto5spd/

The second is the 5 speed conversion but it details on how to remove the tranny and how to install new clutch and reinstall.. I perfer the http://www.stormpages.com/autoto5spd/ way of removal but the http://www.motorvate.ca/ has better pictures.

Yeah i know! I did the seach thingy on here and found
the old helpful threads...And I been to your website.
As for the website I have also stumble upon it too.

I would love to do it. But I dont have the tools to put it
in myself. Plus, I live around the Reading(city) area in PA
and it's hella cold outside and I got no garage.

Anyone got the hookups around here would be nice! I could get
the ACT kit from Phoung, and find someone with the tools to
put it in. Anyone.....

I didnt think it required anything special as far as tools go. What ones is it you dont have? Or is it you just dont have a tool set. Just curious.

Re: Phoung I will be in the market for a ACT clutch within a month

Code Product Quantity Price/Ea. Total
30100-00011 Clutch Disc $64.68
30210-00013 Pressure Plate $92.02
30502-00005 Clutch Release Bearing $27.83
32202-00001 Pilot Bushing $4.25
Total: $188.78

Got this from Courtesy Nissan is this all i need?

Is replacement job complicated, i'm not a mechanic but i think you would at least need to take out the wheel, some suspension assembly, one axle.
