The mysterious missing problem

The 96 max has a little over a 100,000 miles on it. My problem is the max is missing under load in reverse, drive, first and second gear. There is no CEL on and its starting to get a little worse because its starting to miss in park and neutral now. Its not that noticeable or that bad in park and neutral but you can barely feel it though. Now for the things i replaced to try to fix the problem: new OEM double platinum spark plugs, new OEM maf sensor, new OEM TPS sensor, new OEM fuel filter, new OEM FPR, 6 new coils pack(can't remember if I got them OEM, I think i did but they are brand new), took the fuel injectors off and sent them off to get them cleaned and they are all working properly, there are no intake leaks, no vacuum leaks what so ever actually, I cleaned the IACV and it is working properly, I even had it scoped the other day and they couldn't find the problem either. So some one help me get rid of these miss, its really starting to annoy the crap out of me!!! Any help appreciated

That statement makes no sense. Are they brand new? If so one would think you'd remember what/where you purchased them

My vote goes to a weak coil pack.

they're like 150 a piece from nissan and the brand is hanshin or nissan. we know its a weak coil pack cause its missing. first thing that comes to mind is a **** spark.

go to a junkyard and yank off a few. they should be like 20 a piece from there or do your thang and get em fo free

Then we will help you troubleshoot from there but trust us...start with the coils.

It doesn't ******* matter what you tune with if you've got misfires.

If you didn't pay hundreds of dollars for those new coils then they are no doubt aftermarket coils. Take the suggestion that many members have already given you and replace them with OEM coils.

I got 6 used OEM coils from our classifieds 3 years ago and they all still work fine.

System goes as follows: ECU - wires - coils - spark plugs.

Most likely your spark plugs are bad or your coils are crap.

Everyone has already said it. I'll say it a little different. Post a WTB in the classifieds here on the org asking for used OEM coil packs.
Put THOSE in, and report back.

Also, I hope you used NGK spark plugs.
Double check your connections.
It could be a bad MAF; I also recommend OEM used from the org. ~Start with different coil packs first.

Good luck.

There are only so many ways it can be said...maybe the 5th or 6th time will work.

missfire is almost always the damn coil pack
and what they are getting at is that if you are using remanufactured coil packs bought at an auto parts store and not nissan you are likely to still get a miss or still have the 1320 code . did they even check to see if it is giving them a code (SES) and what cyl it is ?

Not to add fuel to the fire going on already, but...

Why would anyone chance used coils over remans?

You know, since the ones in his car ARE used and there's no guarantee that the ones from the junk yard or bought online aren't faulty too...
