p0138 & p0158: high voltage secondary o2 sensor question

My car is cali-spec so i have 4 o2 sensors.
could the quarter sized hole in my flex pipe cause these codes? I need to get my car inspected as soon as possible and those are the only two codes I'm throwing.

I don't wanna waste money on the actual o2 sensors if they're working and it doesn't help me get my CEL off. code is for high voltage, not circuit malfunction so i assume they're working properly and that my exhaust leak at my flex section is causing my car to run rich which would trigger these codes.

If you're going to get it inspected wouldn't the quarter sized hole need to fixed regardless?

I agree with andrewmac. Why don't you try to plug the hole temporairly and see if the CEL goes away. You will have to reset the ECU to get the light off and then see if it comes back. But I'm a pessimist - I think it will because you have a bad O2 sensor.

I'm honestly thinking I have bad o2's as well but I'm looking for an excuse to install my headers and do full exhaust lol

Is a quarter sized hole not excuse enough? I mean even if your o2 sensors are bad I wouldn't want to be driving around with a hole in my exhaust.
