Switching trunk lock?

Hey guys I recently did the 95-96 tail conversion to 97-99 so I swapped the deck with one from a friends car who happened to blow up his motor. I didn't really think about it because I use the electronic trunk release but how does the rear trunk lock (the actual part with the key) come off? I would like to switch them as I cannot manually get into my trunk. Any advice would be awesome.

It's not all that bad of a job. You have to remove the liner (those round plastic buttons pop out with some persuasion) so that you can get to the backside of the lock cylinder. You then have to remove a rod that goes between the lock cylinder and the lid latch and unplug the wire harness that goes to it. Then there is a flat clip that that you pull out that holds the key cylinder in.

The access is fairly good so it shouldnt take more than about an hour to swap it over. FSM has good diagrams but I do not know the section off the top of my head.
