If you're pulling your IACV...
If you're planning to pull your IACV to clean it, or even better replace it, do me a favor and compare it to this: http://s397.beta.photobucket.com/use...tml?sort=6&o=8 I'm suspicious of the little gasket like pieces near the tip that look like they're coming off, but they may be some kind of compression device to make a tighter seal. I'm getting an occasional issue at idle, but this is too expensive a part to just throw at it...

Guys, if you look at your IACV, the part facing the firewall has a piece that can be removed that has a light-brown colored plastic around it. This is the plunger and actually if you take this off and turn your keys with just the plunger connected you can double check to see if it is working together IE going out when you turn the key and back in when you turn the car off. Yes it does have a gasket if I remember correctly

It's been a little rough for a while. I think the idle may be a bit low, but I haven't bothered with it yet. But recently the idle has started to drift up occasionally when I'm stopped. It's normally around 600, but will drift up to 8 or 900, then sometimes drift back down, depending on long I'm stopped. I've been thinking it might be the ECTS going bad, so it thinks the engine is cold when it's warm and increases the idle, but that's just a guess. I just skimmed through your thread. I have cleaned the TB and the IACV, but I didn't pull the TB to do it, I just came in through the front with some TB cleaner. I'll spend some more time going through that thread, thanks.
