loss of power/ bad misfire

my maxima just started to act up on me, when i turn the car on i have a rough idle, i cleaned my MAF, IACV, TB, new coil packs, replaced spark plugs(NGK PLATS), i use 91 chevron, when i put it in 1st and drive off i have a loss of power and sputtering from tail pipe, i do get the smell of gas when i first start it up in the morning, im thinking its maybe one of my coil pack connectors,

please help, thanks

Tried wiping the metal shavings off the CKPS (POS) with a cloth? Just a thought.

my guess is you may have a bad fuel injector. this happend to me, one day I went to crank the car and it had a rough idle, along with the power loss and putt putt out the exhaust pipe. I had no check engine light come on, I unplugged each coil to see which cylinder was missing, cylinder 6 was missing, so I put another coil on it and still did the same thing. turned out the fuel injector was bad and it was under the manifold. you may luck up and try to use some chevron techron fuel system cleaner and see if that helps, although its jus a temporary solution it will buy u some time if it is a fuel injector

Def agree here had a same problem on my Infiniti G, new injector car ran purfect:..however had a similar problem on my old max and it ended up being a loss of vacuum from a cracked intake manifold but you should see a code for that one.

Mine is having the same exact problem , sometimes it throws codes on for coolant temp sensor sometimes it doesn't , it's so weird . Please can somebody help me with my car , so my mechanic dropped another 3.5 in my max and he's saying that one of the cylinders is not lubricating .. How can that be possible ?? What did he mess up on?

If its running poorly and telling you it's the coolant temp sensor maybe you should replace it? When a part goes bad it won't always throw a code right away.

CTS is one of the sensors most directly responsible for A/F ratio control. If the CTS is bad or going bad it will send bogus info to the ECM and the engine will run lean or rich. This is especially true during times of climate change.

The CTS can be bad but not so far out of range to trigger a fault.
