95 GLE Noise Engine Right Side

Hi Y'all I used a rubber hose as a stethoscope to locate a grinding noise while engine is running. See attached file with blue arrow. Can you help identify this. It sounds like noise is coming from the panel the arrow points to. What is behind this? Could this be related to timing chain or the chain tensioner? Hard to tell without being there I know.

I believe that's the timing chain tensioner cover. Do you here this noise when the car is cold or warmed up?

Timing chain tensioner access door. You have limited space there to replace it but it could be done with patience.

damn dude, dirtiest vq i've seen in awhile. i have a tapping when my 95's cold too, have since i bought it 8 years ago. i just make sure my oil's at a proper level, ( full ) and add a little bg moa oil additive. it helps keep the vq lubed and helps with seals, etc.
