SOLVED: Something rubber in one of my valves?

I did a valve job and now it starts very weird :

Try 01:

Try 02:

After doing try 02 I think something is in one of my valves. Sounds like a piece of rubber. What do you guys think?

In the first vid; I can hear a noise, hard to tell exactly what/where it is, but sounds like it goes away after a few cranks? And is it catching and then dying? Or are you turning it off?

Recheck your timing but it might be too late. The first noise sounds like the timing chain noise like after you change the water pump before it regains tension, the 2nd vid didn't go long enough to hear the sound, but whatever the case your car seems to take a long time to start which is not good. Is this the first valve job you have attempted?

Thanks guys for the input. I just fixed this issue. The problem was that i embarrassingly forgot to connect coil packs 1-3-5. Ones I connected the three the car started up. Heres a video:

Take it for a drive. Let it warm up and then see if the noise goes away. Tighten up that belt and put on a small amount of belt dressing.

no, no belt dressing. just adjust the tension on the pulley. your timing's way too high and i still hear clacking from the chain. make sure your oil level's on the line and your coolant and tranny fluid are filled up too.

What exactly do you mean the timing is too high? On the video I have the 00vi mod stuff on but I removed the Greddy emanage blue computer yesterday in order to troubleshoot my car not being able to turn on. Since it turns on now I will install the Greddy emanage blue computer tomorrow.

The two belts are brand new:

Gates K040305 Multi V-Groove Belt

Gates K060431 Multi V-Groove Belt

Since they are both new I will just adjust them both tomorrow. The noise should go away on its own.

Thanks everyone for the input.

if you altered the ecu with the emanage and it's unplugged, maybe thats what im hearing. sounds like the idle is a little high. also, make sure you don't overtighten the tension, maybe too tight now.

Why did the engine require a valve job? Did a reputable shop do the machine work? Who shimmed it, the shop or you?

I did the valve job. None of the decks were warped. I checked all the valve clearance with feeler gauges. No adjustments to the shims were required. I lapped the valves with a lapping stick.

As to why I did a valve job. I had time to spare and wanted to give my car a longer life.

Thumbs up for the DIY work!

As far as giving it more life, it they weren't leaking, the job wasn't necessary and isn't going to give your engine more life. What will give it more life is good maintenance.
