I've recently brought my car to the mechanic because i have heard coffee like grinding noises when the car is on. The mechanic told me that there is a leak in my ac compressor. I haven't change compressor yet, but then i turn on the engine there is a burning smell. I wonder if it had to do with the ac compressor leak? Anyone every experienced this problem? Will changing the ac compressor fix my problems?

Sounds like the bearing on the compressor is shot.
You can-
A) replace the compressor.
B) replace the bearing.
C) by-pass it with a smaller belt.
