Another Code(s) thread

So I scanned Maxeen today to see what codes she was throwing & this is what I got.....

In the mist of trying to change my VSS *that turned out to be glued in* I took out my whole intake system just to reach it so i'm guessing that's how it probably got screwed up....While looking at the live data it was running at 0.7 psi which seems kinda low even though I don't know the exact rate it's suppose to idle around...I checked the connections and everything but it never changed....

The knock sensor I know I have to use a multimeter to test the resistance in the wire but I don't have one so I'm gonna take the easy way out & just replace it

The P0105 I know what it is but I'm not too sure on diagnosing it ...Anyone care to let me know what it is before I hit the FSM?

Last but not least I have NO clue about what this code is

Also might I add that she idles extremely hard, *almost stalling* but never does

The P1445 is the valve on the charcoal filled EVAP canister that is behind the driver's rear wheel. There is a plunger inside the valve that gets stuck from all the road spray from the tire. Sometimes you can free it up with WD40 or similar and sometimes you gotta get a new one.

Don't buy a knock sensor just yet. That code seems to always come up with any other code. Take care of the other codes and there's a good chance the P0325 will be gone.

The Absolute pressure sensor is mounted on the air intake scoop, kind of behind the radiator cap. Did you remember to plug it in?

Thanks I'm gonna check this out today or tomorrow because I have to get it passed by Tuesday. & I believe that I did....I'm gonna double check again because last night it was extremely dark out. Would that also cause the rough idle? Because it can't figure out how much air is in the system?

It might, but I don't know for certain. If the ECU is getting an incorrect air temperature indication, it might not have the fuel injectors squirting the correct amount of gas.

^Ok so just an update...Do I spray ON it or do I have to unplug a hose then spray inside of an opening? ; I saw the APS sensor & all the other ones yesterday, they were plugged in.

I changed all 6 of my spark plugs yesterday just to see that they were on their disgustingly last leg. So after I changed them I started her up & the idle was SMOOTH and PERFECT unlike before when she was dropped to 500 then back up to 6/700 all over.

If you are talking about the valve on the EVAP canister, you want to spray inside the valve through the openings where the hoses plug on. It would be a lot easier to take the valve off of the canister when you work on it.

After you spray, let the valve sit for a few minutes so the stuff can soak in. Then you have to work the plunger free. After you free up the plunger, spray some more WD40 or whatever you're using in the valve to flush any junk that might be in there.

And when your done dinking around with freeing up the plunger, test it with a 9 volt battery and some gator clips on the leads to see if the plunger actually plunges. You should hear a click when voltage is applied to the valve. Polarity shouldn't be a problem, but try both ways just to be safe (there are only 2 leads on it)

No click = time for a new one

Keep in mind that the knock sensor code is not causing your check engine light. It's a ghost code that hangs out and waits for you.

You can pass inspection if the knock sensor is your only code.

Replace it now or later, but you don't have to make it a priority.

P1445 is the purge valve located on the top rear of the intake manifold, it has hoses attached to it, a one big brown connector, it's not located behind drivers wheel well, this is wat the sensor looks like

It is on the top left in the pics silver Sensor with a brown connection

P0100 will cause hesitation, won't allow you to pass over 2500 rpm, and causing to shut off this is the maf sensor

P0325 is your knock sensor located under the intake manifold

P0105 is your map sensor, normally this is hooked onto the air intake tube with a 10mm bolt, it has a single hose running into it, it looks like this, if you look to te right of the v6 3000 cover you will see tied into the
Intake tube

Since you have, or will have all those parts removed like in the picture, then you may as well replace the FPR. It's fully exposed, and from that Pic, looks oem, so it's probably very very tired. It may not be troublesome just yet, but it will be soon enough.

Not cleanable......it just wears out. Replace it. The FPR is like a $20 part. autozone.

So I took my Evap Canister out because the code came back & I blew into the two holes *NO PUN INTENDED*!!!!! & Air came out the opposite end of both. Could it be possible that it's STUCK OPEN? Also cjanderson3 said that there's only 2 connectors there to test it out....I have 6! .....So I'm confused lol
