What is this code: P0136
Hey guys,
My 97 max did not pass the state emissions test because they found a P0136 code.
Over the last few weeks the check engine light comes on in the car but when I scan with my bluetooth scan tool it showed no codes, so I was surprised they found a code. Because no codes would show up, I'd just clear the light...then it comes back on usually within a day. I'm guessing their's something wrong with my scan tool...?
Anyways...how do I fix this code? If someone could point me to a reputable company to buy the part I need that would be a big help...
Would appreciate any help...thanks

Your rear o2 sensor is no good anymore, this one is after the cat, it has no effect on drivability or performance of the engine, you can clear it and it will come back after a week or so, if it bothers you enough change it, new cost upwards of $140, if ou need a used I have one for $30 shipped

Downstream; Engine VIN C; Engine Code VQ30DE
Is their more than one rear O2 sensor (wondering if it's worth replacing others sensors If I'm gonna pay labor).
I'm in Naperville, IL if someone is nearby and interested in installing the sensor...will pay.

Don't pay labor. If you have a wrench its a 2 min job.
