I vote that thing as dangerous. That wire needs to be loose so it can wrap around the steering column as you turn the wheel. Not a good situation.

I say no too.

Its rated for 95 - 113 deg F. Thats too hot man. It may feel "good" when its cold inside the car but once the heater warms the cabin you are gonna turn it off. 70 or 80 deg would be just right.

Plus there should be some sort of fuse on it too. I know the cig lig circuit has its own fuse but this should have its own too.
